Clinical Pastoral Education with AMITA Health
Our CPE program provides a supportive context for exploring the significance of stories - the patient’s and our own - and developing one’s spiritual care skills in meeting the needs of patients, families and staff in a hospital based ministry education program.
The CPE group becomes a learning community that provides focused opportunities in seminars and patient care for enhancing spiritual care skills and learning the theory that supports these skills. This multi-faceted ministry education program involves an experiential model of learning, where students share reports of ministry with peers and supervisor for consultation.
